HTTPS used to be required for handling highly sensitive information, such as credit card transactions on e-commerce sites. Now, both Google and new GDPR regulations have changed this: websites collecting any data (e.g. email signup forms, with cookies, tracking, etc.) also need an SSL certificate. If you don’t migrate to HTTPS, your site will show as non-secure and could potentially get blocked by some browsers. There’s no downtime in this migration process, and the sooner you become secure the better!

  • Migrate your site from HTTP to HTTPS
  • Install SSL (provided by client)
  • Reconfigure Console for HTTPS
  • Update URL redirects (Update all files such as JS, CSS and Images)
