The Basics

What do you do?
We look after the sites of digital publishers around the world at all stages of their blogging journey, and help them at either tech-only or strategy-led-tech level through our membership.
Where are you based?
Our main offices are in London, UK but we are very much a global team with a strong remote culture; our first two hires were abroad and we count thirteen different nationalities amongst us!
What are your business hours?
Our ‘core’ business hours are 10am - 6pm UTC (5am - 1pm EST), meaning the majority of the team is available throughout those times.

Who do you work with?
Digital publishers with a WordPress.org blog.
Which platforms do you work with?
We work exclusively with WordPress.org sites.
What’s the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?
WordPress.org sites are self-hosted, which means you are in full ownership and control of your website and its database, stored in a hosting service you pay for separately. Without this modification freedom we’d be unable to carry out our work together, which is why we don’t work with WordPress.com sites (that includes paid WordPress.com plans, and sites on custom domains).
I’m not on WordPress.org - how can I move my site?
We recommend you do it through a specialist migration company, like our partners at Fantasktic.
My WordPress.org site is on a framework, can I still work with you?
Depending on which framework and to what extent it’s in use, it might (or might not!) hinder the scope of our technical work together. You can learn more here, or get in touch here with more details.
I haven’t started blogging yet, is there a membership for me?
Not at the moment! If you’re thinking about starting your own blogging journey, check out Brittany’s Blogging Tips over at Thrifts&Threads, and Amanda's Blogging 101 series on Advice From A Twentysomething.
Will my site be hosted on chloédigital during my membership?
No, your site will continue to be hosted in your current server.
I’ve got an e-commerce site, can you still help me?
If your site is on WordPress.org and your main focus in content, then yes! We don’t manage inventories and ecommerce ops, but that shouldn’t stop you from benefiting from everything else our memberships have to offer. Is there a strong content vertical to your site that keeps it frequently updated and alive with fresh posts? If you answered yes, then you’re a digital publisher and we’d love to work with you.
Are there any cases of WordPress.org sites you don’t work with?
It sounds like you have something very specific in mind! If you’re unsure about whether you can work with us, just drop us an email here.

Find the membership plan that’s right for you

What’s the difference between the memberships plans?
The difference is the strategic focus of the VIP & Luxe tiers with an appointed CD Consultant, versus the email-only proactive service on Premium. All our membership tiers include tech support and daily backups of your site! You can see the full breakdown of specs for each tier here.
I’ve seen the membership plans breakdown but I’m still unsure what’s the best fit - could you sum up your membership tiers in one line?
VIP and Luxe are our strategy-driven memberships; you work with a dedicated Consultant on reaching your blogging goals, aided by monthly strategy calls and analytic status reports. These are the memberships for you if you like speaking to someone regularly, having an accountability partner and getting detailed insights into your site evolution. Premium is a tech support membership where you communicate via email-only with a team of support specialists. It’s a proactive membership, so this is for you if you only have the odd question about your site or want a team of experts behind you if WordPress is acting up.
How about the difference between VIP and Luxe? Why is Luxe invite only?
Our Luxe tier has the same structure and way of working as VIP, but the strategies worked on are more advanced - it’s invite only just to make sure you’d really be making the most out of what we can offer you! To find out if you’d be a good fit for our Luxe tier, enquire here.

Lingering questions about our work in the membership? Solved right this way!

I’m ready to sign up, what should I do? What happens once I’ve signed up?
You can join our membership on the Premium or VIP tier directly here! Shortly after completing your application you will receive a hello from the onboarding team, who will also need to get your site details. As soon as we’re fully set up (including running daily backups and monitoring of your site) our ongoing work begins!
Is my content secure during our work together?
Yes, your content’s safety (and your peace of mind) are key for us, so on all our membership tiers we run secure off-site daily backups of your website and monitor its up and down times.
Do you offer tech support?
Absolutely! Tech support is at the core of our Premium membership tier, and a key area of work in our VIP and Luxe tiers.
Will you improve my SEO?
We can help you understand and master SEO best practices that you can put to use on your day to day, as well as make sure you’re covered in the technical aspects of SEO.
Can you help me grow my social following?
Our work focuses mainly on your site and making it the cornerstone of your digital presence.
If I don’t use you for some time, can I combine a few months together to have some work done on my site?
Unfortunately our memberships don’t have a roll-on nature. If you need help making the most out of your membership on a regular basis, we’re here to help! You can reach out here.
Is a site redesign included in my membership?
It’s not included in the membership (regardless of tier), but we most certainly work on site redesigns through our Members+ services!
Can you make design changes on demand?
We can make onsite design tweaks (i.e. enhance already-existing feature) to aid user experience and accurate data collection. If you're interested in brand new features, the full redesign of it or feature extensions, we can carry these out through our Members+ division.
What is Members+ and how does it work?
Members+ is our project division, additional to the membership services; think site redesigns, hosting migrations, email newsletters, etc. which are available for members at a discounted rate. After a quote is provided (together with specs and timeframe) you’ll be allocated a Project Manager to move forward.

The Small Print

What is the minimum amount of time that I need to stay on the membership?
Premium and VIP members have a minimum subscription period of 3 months, and in our Luxe tier the minimum subscription period is of 6 months.
How much notice do I need to give to leave the membership?
You'll need to give us 30 days notice if you’re on the VIP or Luxe tier, and cancellation will take effect following the 30 day notice period. If you’re on the Premium tier you can cancel at any time, and the cancellation will take effect the day after the last day of your current subscription period.
How does the membership billing work?
You will be billed monthly automatically via Paypal or Stripe. Your renewal date shall be the date on which you sign up.
What happens if I want to leave before the minimum subscription period has elapsed?
We will charge you for any outstanding amount remaining on the unexpired period of your minimum subscription period term (subject to your subscription and/or offer terms).
I didn't really use the service this month, can I get a refund?
We are always working hard for our members and therefore all monthly subscriptions are non-refundable.
