How to Get Your Instagram Recovery Code Right Now
WHAT’S AN INSTAGRAM RECOVERY CODE?
You know how frustrating it can be when you're having trouble accessing your account. Whether it's due to connectivity issues or problems with the delivery of your two-factor authentication code, it can be incredibly frustrating. That's where an Instagram Recovery Code comes in handy.
Instagram Recovery Code is a helpful code you can get to use when you’re having issues connecting to your account with the two-factor authentication. Basically, if you’ve turned on two-factor authentication and a code can’t be sent due to connectivity or delivery issues, you’ll still be able to complete the process with a recovery code.
HOW CAN YOU GET AN INSTAGRAM RECOVERY CODE?
You can get your recovery codes when you log in to your Instagram account, after turn on the two-factor authentication. You should then save the codes by copying them to your clipboard, take a screenshot of them, or save them in some other way so that they’re available when you log into Instagram. Our favourite way to save them? Send the recovery codes to your email with a few keywords (as IG, Instagram, recovery code) so it is easy for you to find them when you need it.
Go to your profile and:
- Tap Settings
- Tap Security
- Then tap Two-Factor Authentication
- Tap Recovery Codes
To cancel your current recovery codes and get a new set of codes:
Go to your profile and tap:
- Tap Settings
- Tap Security, then tap Two-Factor Authentication
- Tap Recovery Codes, then tap Get New Codes
After all, it's better to have the Recovery Code at hand and not use them than need the code and not have them. Better safe than sorry – save your codes now!
