Life is not a straight line but instead is made up of highs and lows and by many moments that deserve to be celebrated in style. And what better way to do it than by creating tailored content to make sure that your readers will never feel left out? Whether you want to celebrate the fashion month, special days like Valentine’s day, or moments that are personally key to you, here are a few ideas on how to create some great ad-hoc content:

Lead The Way To The Event

An effective way to nurture your community is by keeping them in the loop. Your readers might not know the reason why some days are more special than others to you and even when there are some internationally recognized events, like the International Women’s Day, they still want to be reminded what they mean to you. This is why you need to pave the way to the event and one way to do it is by treating your community. For example, you could organize a giveaway series and announce the names of the lucky winners on the special day!

Check Your Demographics

Knowing your readership inside out is crucial to be able to cater to their needs and demands, especially if your audience belongs to a specific niche. For example, if you’re thinking of creating gift guides to help your readers prepare for the holiday season or Valentine’s day, you might want to tap into Google Analytics and study your demographics first. If your readership is mainly made of women aged between 18 to 35 years old, you might want to create a gift guide for “Him” rather than for “Her”, featuring items and ideas that can appeal to that age range.

Be Relatable

Being relatable should be the number one rule when creating any type of content. This rule becomes even more crucial when you want to produce some special content and make sure that your readers appreciate it as much as you do! For example, if you want to celebrate a key moment with an Outfit post, make sure that it is true to your brand and that it can appeal to your readers. Don’t go out of your way just for a blog post, being relatable and true to yourself is what your community always expects from you.

Make It Stand Out

Key moments deserve special blog posts but to do so it’s important to remember to adapt the content to your niche. For example, if you’re attending the NYFW and you’re excited about it, of course you want to celebrate the moment with some special content! But not all of your readers might relate 100% to the shows so make sure to create your own FW content with a spin to accommodate to your audience. And remember that your readers are not interested in the shows only but in everything else that happens before and after them. Give them your insights, sharing your personal experiences and opinions, and turn your key moment into an evergreen resource so that when your readers are experiencing something similar they can use your content as their guide.

Another way to make your content stand out is by exploring new formats. Try out a new format and pin your post on your homepage to make sure it gets the visibility it deserves and don’t forget to ask your readers for some feedback! You can do it on your Socials or at the bottom of the post itself.

Post Re-Cap Content

A loyal community cares about you and what matters to you matters to them too. So why not publish a blog post that documents the special event, which includes visuals to make your readers feel like they were living the moment with you? You might also want to embed a video to make your post more engaging and personal!
